Job description

The Mom Project is proud to partner with Ameren in St. Louis, MO to launch their Bright Returns Program this fall. The program is designed for candidates who have taken a career pause of two or more years and who are ready to reengage in the workforce. As part of the program, you will join a cohort of others for a 6-month period with the potential to join the organization on a permanent basis upon successful completion.

Ameren Missouri's mission is to power the quality of life for its 1.2 million electric and 127,000 natural gas customers in central and eastern Missouri. The company's service area covers 64 counties and more than 500 communities including the greater St. Louis area.

About The Position:
The Digital Vendor Manager is responsible for managing and governing Digital's service providers to ensure Ameren is consistently receiving holistic IT services. In addition, provide quantifiable improvements in each service provider while building strong vendor relationships that support Ameren’s Digital strategic direction. Key success factors considered are the management of Ameren’s Digital service providers to ensure they meet commitments while providing proactive visibility into their products, services and roadmaps.

Key responsibilities include:
*Partner with Sourcing to manage the overall evaluation and selection of Digital's service providers. This includes the use of benchmarking services available to Ameren where appropriate.
*Provide thought leadership on the creation of impactful and measureable Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and collaborate with Digital's Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Sourcing to align SLAs to applicable service providers.
*Work in partnership with Ameren Legal and Digital SMEs to establish effective SOWs (Statement of Work) for Digital's professional service providers.
*Manage vendor on-boarding and contract / risk monitoring.
*Collaborate with embedded/technical SMES and Service Owners across Digital to ensure vendors are effectively managed and contracts are fully leveraged.
*Drive ongoing process improvement initiatives to deliver increased efficiency into each vendor's related processes.
*Ensure operational review meetings are established and that vendors and Digital SME(s) facilitate meetings on a routine basis.
*Oversee the management of software and hardware maintenance renewals.
*Participate in vendor sponsored events which focus primarily on future products and services, industry trends, vendor partnering, vendor strategic direction and similar topics.  Keep apprised of projects and initiatives involving Digital vendors.
*Maintain vendor educational materials to ensure Ameren’s Digital vendors understand Ameren’s current and future business objectives.
*Participate in Digital SME training on the vendor management framework and methodology.
*In collaboration with IT Sourcing, evaluate services provided by non-strategic vendors.
*In collaboration with IT Sourcing, gather, analyze and report on IT cost savings and cost avoidance. *Manage vendor dispositions (exits) to ensure that the service provider transfers knowledge, assets, etc. to a new provider, as required.

Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or Business. MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
*Two or more years of relevant experience in Information Technology required. One or more years of relevant IT vendor management or contract management experience required.
