Job description

Our Customer was founded in 1982 in an effort to create a solid accounting firm headed by native professionals. They later branched out to other services, which is now a multinational professional services network with offices in over 150 countries and territories around the world. With more than 100,000 professionals, they provide audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.


We are seeking an Application Deployer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Nashville, TN.


The Application Deployer will develop, test, and execute deployment plans for enterprise applications using MSI and App-V packaging. This role requires strong expertise in remote deployments, troubleshooting, scripting, and coordination across global teams. The position supports high-volume deployments and ensures successful, high-quality application releases across the enterprise.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and execute deployment plans for enterprise applications using MSI and App-V packaging.
  • Manage remote deployments through systems management platforms following standardized operating procedures.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), QA management, and inventory validation prior to release.
  • Troubleshoot deployment issues, provide production support, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Automate deployment and configuration tasks using scripting tools such as VBScript and PowerShell.
  • Monitor deployments and application performance using process, registry, and file monitoring tools.
  • Coordinate application deployments through Active Directory and Group Policy Objects.
  • Collaborate with US-based and international teams to communicate risks, issues, and progress.
  • Document deployment processes, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions for future reference.


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in desktop engineering, application packaging, and remote deployment.
  • Proficiency with SCCM, Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and deployment monitoring tools.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and monitoring utilities, including Process Monitor, Registry Monitor, and File Monitor.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and logical problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to adapt to evolving tools, platforms, and requirements.
  • Understanding of databases and SQL triggers is a plus.
  • Experience with high-volume deployments and application upgrades.
  • Familiarity with Numecent (Cloudpaging) and EUPS (Unix/Windows) tools preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
