Job description

The Mom Project is excited to partner with a next-generation law firm that serves the risk industry. They are looking for an Attorney for remote work who has a place of residence anywhere in Texas. Ideally, around Dallas for 1 day a week in office with Team, other days personal preference, office space combination of private and co-working at Spaces locations.

This law firm is an experienced, diverse, innovative, and focused close-knit team passionate about achieving our clients’ goals. We are currently seeking an Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate must be a reliable detail-oriented individual with great communication and organizational skills.

Job Requirements

  • Represent clients in court or before government agencies.
  • Present evidence to represent clients in civil litigation.
  • Insurance Defense 2 years experience required.
  • Select jurors, argue motions, meet with judges, and question witnesses during the course of a trial.
  • Study and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
  • Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
  • Prepare legal briefs and opinions and file appeals in state and federal courts of appeal.
  • Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
  • Examine legal data to determine advisability of defending lawsuit.
  • Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
  • Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
  • Gather evidence to formulate defense, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
  • Negotiate settlements of civil disputes.
  • Supervise legal assistants.
  • Perform administrative functions as needed related to the practice of law.
