Job description

Our Customer is a tech real-estate marketplace company with a portfolio of the largest and most vibrant real estate and home-related brands on the web and mobile. The company’s brands focus on all stages of the home lifecycle: renting, buying, selling, financing and home improvement. We are seeking an Event Coordinator on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is onsite in Seattle, WA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support anywhere from 1-10 events per week at the company’s Seattle site, ranging in size but typically totaling 150-500 total employees gathering onsite during any given week
  • Act as on-site point of contact for Seattle team gatherings, interfacing with the company leaders, Assistants and event contacts
  • Contribute to on-site event operations, in partnership with company’s Workplace (Facilities) team, to ensure event supplies, catering, design assets, etc. help support a great attendee experience
  • Support the company's team gatherings nationally, including support around areas like building access, event pages/RSVPs, attendee resources, and issue resolution in support of remote event planners
  • Assist the meeting/event staff with all aspects of planning a meeting or special event (mainly zretreats) within the organization. Involved in location, food, transportation, and presentation arrangements
  • Work/interface with a few different departments to include the AV team (which consists of 3-4 folks local who are supportive, seasoned folks within the company with tenure who know how to execute), the workplace team (this team executes zRetreats & overseas the facilities dedicated to the actual facilities support), and lastly the Internal Gatherings Team (which is the team that this person will be a part of but all team members other than this person are remote)
  • Typically reports to a supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and required years of related experience
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with onsite event planning
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
  • Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Ability to work under immediate supervision
  • Must have basic knowledge of Google based platforms
  • Strong prioritizing, extremely customer service oriented
  • Hospitality experience is a huge plus (i.e. hotel experience such as handling conferences or banquets, restaurants, etc.)
