The Mom Project is a venture-backed startup based in Chicago, and we’re adding a dynamic Head of Data Science to our Executive Team. We are backed by some of the best investors in the world and are lucky to be surrounded by an incredible team of advisors, including Serena Williams. The immediate focus of the data science team is our match recommendation engine and AI roadmap. The Mom Project is growing quickly and this role has an enormous impact on our trajectory.

Key responsibilities and expectations:
Lead and build our data science team
Owns match algorithms and neural network AI roadmap
Owns machine learning roadmap, improving our user experience, quality and equity of match
Direct and collaborate with engineering, research and product leaders to solve our most critical business challenges
Help mine our transactional data to produce industry/workplace trends and insights to help educate companies and propose solutions to create a more inclusive, productive and engaged workplace

Skills and qualities needed for the role:
5+ years experience in data science
2+ years experience in team management
Help mine our transactional data to produce industry/workplace trends and insights to help educate companies and propose solutions to create a more inclusive, productive and engaged workplace
