Job description

Our customer is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. They help researchers make new discoveries, doctors and nurses improve the lives of patients, and lawyers develop winning strategies. They prevent online fraud and money laundering and help insurance companies evaluate and predict risk. Their events combine in-person and digital experiences to help customers learn about markets, source products and complete transactions. In short, they enable customers to make better decisions, get better results and be more productive.


We are seeking a contract Legal Editor (JD required) to support the review of LLM-generated output of US Legal Content. This role is 100% remote. Flexible on hours but must be mostly core business hours, as well as present for trainings and meetings



Responsibilities:

  • Test outputs from a Large Language Model (LLM) designed for generating U.S. legal content
  • Evaluate AI-generated draft legal materials, including memos, briefs, summaries of legal content types, and research answers
  • Use Excel and other tools to create inputs/prompts for the LLM and analyze its outputs for model training
  • Assess legal content outputs based on predefined criteria, including required elements and legal accuracy
  • May evaluate summaries, answers, and draft content for accuracy, clarity, and proper citation of statutes and case law
  • Provide assessment ratings for model outputs
  • Deliver written feedback and commentary to support model improvement


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Law degree required.
  • Must be a licensed attorney
  • Will consider an advanced degree plus a license to practice
  • Will consider recently retired licensed attorneys
  • Working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and the ability to learn new software
  • 1 to 5 years’ litigation experience
  • Also looking for some candidates with transactional legal experience
  • Strong legal research and legal analysis skills, in addition to a high degree of familiarity with US legal content/documents
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work in an agile manner, shifting/pivoting to new assignments as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must have working knowledge of Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to work with multiple software-based tools.
  • Good written communication skills and the ability to communicate regularly with your Leads and Managers.
  • Comfortable asking questions.
  • Capable of providing a large volume of work in accordance with quotas that may be set.
  • Experience in providing high-quality feedback rating analysis, as well as additional comments on products being tested.
