We are seeking a Music Content Operations Research Analyst on a contract basis to support global operations functions for music publishers. Candidates will be data-driven and flexible to frequent changes. They are expected to think creatively about ambiguous issues and are passionate about problem-solving.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage day to day ongoing research initiatives with our company's North American music publishing partners
- Develop workflows for monitoring publishing data and provide scalable solutions for issue identification and resolution
- Utilize visual reports to track publisher metrics and trends
- Communication with partners with regard to data delivery and data validation, including general documentation
- Develop an understanding of our company’s music rights management products and how they are being used across constituent groups
Must Haves:
- 1+ years of experience in market research, music account management, product management, online operations, consulting, or data analytics
- Demonstrated experience working on market research initiatives
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, both internally and externally
- Music or media industry research background, preferably with a record label, music publisher, complex DSP or UGC platform experience
- Manage some day-to-day data ownership operations with our company's publishing partners
- Develop an understanding of our company’s music rights management products with an eye on operational, system, and process improvement
- Understand sensitivities around IP policy, processes, and products
- Knowledge of copyright and music licensing
- Knowledge of digital rights management products, especially for music
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be onsite at our Customer’s New York, NY office once it is determined safe to do so.
