Job description

Our client is a global leader in the in the blockchain industry and expanding rapidly. The team is looking for a talented Payroll Executive to administer the Company’s global payroll activities. The right individual will lead development of scalable processes, oversee payroll systems environment and ensure timely and accurate global payroll submission and reporting and will work cross functionally with other departments. Reporting into the Controller, the Payroll Manager will gain significant exposure to technical and international challenges as the company’s primary payroll resource! WHAT YOU’LL DO: - Take ownership of the company’s payroll systems, maintaining appropriate earnings and deduction codes, employee information and assisting in systems integrations - Serve as primary contact for resolving employee and management payroll related inquiries, providing a high level of customer service - Effectively manage outside resources and service providers to ensure that international payroll is streamlined and compliant - Monitor tax and employment regulatory developments and coordinate with appropriate resources to ensure appropriate response - Ensure payroll operations are conducted per the company’s internal procedures and maintain appropriate documentation for payroll processes - Effectively execute all aspects of payroll processing for multi-state and international employee payroll ensuring accuracy, compliance, and outstanding service goals are consistently met - Serve as the primary Finance team member in coordinating with HR to onboard new employees - Maintain compliance with relevant federal, state and local laws and regulations, including assisting in annual 401k, ACA and other compliance projects - Process digital currency payroll payments under internal company policies - Perform journal entries, reconciliations and analysis for payroll related activities and balances - Assist in processing of certain stock compensation activity - Complete special projects as required WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: The ideal candidate will have proven their ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and complex environment and have the necessary Payroll experience to implement best practices on a worldwide basis. To be successful in this role, the candidate will have the proven ability to create structured payroll processes and execute on deadlines all while being agile enough to respond to unusual developments. The company’s technology is new and cutting edge which leads to complexities in our compensation and reporting. You will need to have the ability to think outside of the box to resolve issues that may arise.
