North & South America Payroll Implementation Advisor (Chicago preferred) - part time

Job description
The Payroll Advisor role supports and drives the roll out of the Payroll Strategy and Projects in the North America and South America Region. This role provides Payroll subject matter expertise, project leadership, and direction to local Payroll operation teams to ensure our Payroll Service is modernized, standardized, and visualized.
Location: 100% remote, but Chicago is highly preferred. Also open to Detroit, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus and St. Louis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/support continuous improvement efforts for processes, tools, metrics, and trainings based on ongoing experience, process metrics and feedback from stakeholders
- Lead and direct special projects (organizational changes, redeployment of personnel, vendor transitions)
- Partner with local Payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely Payroll delivery and associated tasks such as
- compliance with tax and regulatory rules, tax payments and filings, regulatory reporting, etc.
- Support local Payroll teams with Vendor system changes, upgrades, etc.
- Responsible for coordinating global and local Payroll requirements
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of global payroll experience working with multinational global firms
- Experience in payroll vendor transition projects and relationship management
- Strong understanding of Payroll systems, Payroll Accounting and Payroll Tax
- Tools: Preferred experience with Workday, Ceridian, ADP, or Cyborg
- Multilingual (Spanish or French preferred)
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or relevant business experience
Pay rate:
- $55/hour at 20-30 hours/week.
