Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.
We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Operations Supervisor
on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote in CST/PST.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Oversight
- Supervise and guide a team of Supplier Onboarding Procurement Analysts, providing daily direction, workload balancing, and performance feedback.
- Oversee day-to-day supplier onboarding operations to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Monitor team adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and quality standards, proactively identifying and addressing performance gaps.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex supplier inquiries and issue resolution.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
Operational Excellence and Metrics
- Maintain operational dashboards and management reports to track performance metrics, SLA compliance, and process efficiency.
- Analyze supplier onboarding trends and recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and customer experience.
- Partner with leadership to establish operational targets and support strategic planning for supplier management operations.
System and Process Management
- Lead process alignment and readiness activities for the upcoming ZIP system implementation in 2026, including system testing, data migration, and end-user training.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for supplier onboarding tools such as Certa, Oracle Cloud ERP, and the future ZIP system.
- Support change management initiatives, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems and processes across the team.
Supplier Management and Compliance
- Ensure that supplier onboarding and maintenance activities comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards, including OFAC/sanctions, tax, and internal control requirements.
- Oversee supplier data accuracy, conducting periodic audits to identify risks or discrepancies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supplier-related issues, support offboarding, and maintain accurate supplier master data.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a liaison between Procurement, Legal, Tax, Risk, and business stakeholders to resolve escalations and ensure consistent supplier management practices.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders and suppliers regarding onboarding procedures and compliance requirements.
- Represent the Supplier Management team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree is required at a minimum
- 5+ years of experience in Procurement Operations or Supplier Management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Demonstrated experience managing operational teams in a high-volume or global environment.
- Experience working with offshore or nearshore teams in different time zones or countries.
- Strong understanding of the Source-to-Pay process and supplier lifecycle management.
- Proficiency in supplier management systems (Certa, Oracle Cloud ERP, DocuSign, Salesforce, JIRA, Tradeshift); experience with ZIP or similar workflow automation systems a plus.
- Proven ability to develop and track operational metrics, dashboards, and SLAs.
- Strong knowledge of compliance requirements, including OFAC/sanctions, tax, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proactive, analytical, and solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
