a Staff Accountant to work with them on their high-performance team! They need
someone to tackle and solve client accounting needs and help with their firm

You need to have...

- Experience handling tax, bookkeeping and
financial reporting for small to medium-sized businesses.

- Experience with reviewing and preparing
business and personal tax returns from initial meeting through delivery and the
filing of returns.

- Ability to recognize when something
doesn’t look right. And follow up on the cause until you figure out why it
doesn’t.

- A personality that enjoys working with
clients. You love helping clients with their requests because you recognize
they hire US to find the solutions to their problems.

- Strong communication skills and be able
to prepare and clearly present financial information to clients.

- The ability to work through uncertainty.
You don't have to know everything you are going to be assigned. You do have to
be committed to researching, being resourceful, asking questions, and anything
else to find the answer.

- Willingness to put in whatever it takes
to get the job done.

- The ability to work independently, and
take ownership for bringing projects to completion in a timely and accurate
manner, without the need for a lot of input or supervision.

What would you be helping them with?

- Prepare
business and personal tax returns (Form 1040, 1065, 1120-S, 1120, 990)

- Entering daily transactions for all of their clients using a number of software platforms

- Responding to requests from clients on general accounting needs (i.e. running reports,
responding to requests, etc.)

- Prepare reconciliations (i.e. bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations,
general ledger accounts, etc.)

- Record tax entries into accounting software

- Understand and apply tax reduction strategies

- Perform self-review to ensure that accounting is accurate

- Prepare financial statements and provide overview to client

- Establish, document, and evaluate internal processes for the best client experience.

- Manage prospective and current client correspondence

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

- Experience preparing tax returns and basic knowledge of the tax code for individuals and small business

- Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures

- Exceptional attention to detail

- Experience with Quickbooks Online and MS Excel

- Comfortable using software and possess solid computer skills, since you will need to be able to get up to speed rapidly with new software required by the position

- Must be local to Pleasant Grove, UT or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance may be offered to the ideal candidate.
