Job description

We are seeking a Contract Project Manager on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee and drive research projects to advance the science and technology of audio perception.
- Monitor problems, facilitate resolution, and implement changes as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Implement and conduct preliminary listening tests and other perceptual experiments.
- Regularly report on project progress, dependencies, and risks to stakeholders.
- Support research scientists and engineers within the team.
- Manage procurement projects for equipment and vendor services.
- Willingness to "roll up your sleeves" and take on operational tasks in support of the team's goals.
- Reports to a senior project or technical program manager.
Must-Haves:
- Work experience in research project management with a track record of successful project completion.
- Interpersonal and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive with the ability to execute multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with team members and individuals throughout the broader organization.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Track record of communicating research in an academic or industrial setting.
- Experience working in a fast-paced research and/or product development environment.
- Experience with science outreach programs.
- Experience with auditory perception.
- Experience with scientific programming languages such as Matlab, Python, C++, or similar.
- Must have engineering/research experience and a deep understanding of it.
- Must have engineering experience and academic qualifications.
Education:
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computational Neuroscience, Cognitive Science, Electrical Engineering, Perception, Experimental Psychology, Audio Engineering, Acoustics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Ph.D. degree or equivalent experience.
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be on-site at our customer’s Redmond, WA office once it is determined safe to do so

Boosters are required to be received by March 28, 2022, or six months after receiving the final dose of the original vaccination series, whichever is later. The expected Return to Office date is July 2022
