Job description

Title: Human Resources Assistant
Location: 100% Remote
Hours: 20 - 30/week, based on company needs
Status: 2-3 month contract, W2 contractor
Hourly Range: $26 - $32/hr, commensurate with experience
Ideal Candidate: Must be proficient with Excel. Accurate data entry and experience using formulas and pivot tables within Excel is critical for the role


Our client is a design practice for Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Architecture, Planning & Urban Design, founded in 1986 and working across North America. The practice combines collective disciplines to design transformative and contextually sensitive projects. With offices in Seattle, Los Angeles and Boise, they work as a single, collaborative practice focused on connecting people through beauty and innovation.

The position offered is a temporary, 2-3 month role, between 20-30 hours per week supporting Human Resources projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Microsoft Excel Data Entry

  1. Accuracy in data entry is critical
  2. Experience/knowledge to create and use formulas, pivot tables, charts and macros, etc. to manage and interpret data in workbooks and sheets
  3. Work would include entering large amounts of information and figures into workbooks and census files
  4. Work will also include entering compensation data from various sources and creating/using formulas which can be used to determine compensation bands for all job positions as well as pivot tables and charts

Human Resources support

  1. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  2. Ideal experience in roles such as HR Assistant, HR Coordinator
  3. Supporting benefits enrollments/changes in online systems
  4. Maintaining monthly Excel files with employee data, benefits, leave tracking and other information
  5. Selecting options and running reports from online benefits and HRIS systems
  6. Leave tracking and digital paperwork
  7. Recruiting support, Onboarding/Offboarding
  8. Online search skills
  9. Benefits Open Enrollment support - coordination, communications, and Outlook calendar scheduling
  10. Experience with HRIS systems, Paylocity or similar
Aptitudes:
  1. Highly organized and efficient
  2. Ability to interpret and follow detailed instructions
  3. Organized and efficient with the ability to track information and tasks
  4. Ability to work independently once given a task, but awareness of when to ask questions

This position is paid an hourly rate based on experience. Minimum of 1 year of relevant full-time human resources experience required.


Option to work in the Seattle office, work remotely, or work a hybrid schedule.


As a temporary position, this role is not eligible for benefits.


Flexible hours and days to meet personal commitments as long as work is completed by weekly deadlines.
