Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning, and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.
Our customer is looking for a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist on a contract basis to help support our Customer's ongoing business needs. This role will report to the Assistant Director of MarTech & Campaign Management, joining the MarTech team as a key individual responsible for developing, activating, and maintaining email marketing campaigns. This individual should strive for operational excellence, implementing technical solutions in an accurate, efficient, and reliable manner. The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist will partner with MarTech teammates along with Product and Engineering partners to bring complex email campaigns to life. This individual will bring technical expertise and skills related to Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Journey Builder that other members of the MarTech team currently do not obtain. This role is 100% remote.
What You’ll Do:
- Configure, test, and deploy complex email marketing campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder
- Compile and translate business requirements into technical documentation
- Ensure high levels of accuracy of all in-market email campaigns through routine checks and balances, troubleshooting as needed
- Monitor deliverability of email campaigns and maintain healthy internet protocol (IP) address
- Act as a liaison between the Marketing team and partners in Product and Engineering, along with other internal stakeholders as necessary
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams through routine daily and weekly meetings, ensuring prioritization of work to align with Marketing objectives and roadmap
- Provide strategy partners with visibility to email campaign performance by presenting email engagement metrics and relevant insights
- Export data and manipulate by leveraging Excel functions and/or Structured Query Language (SQL) queries
- Assist with managing requests, handling inquiries, and issue resolution
- Contribute to the development and implementation of formal processes, standards, and guidelines for MarTech initiatives
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of extensive, hands-on experience working within Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Studio, Journey Builder, Audience Builder, and Automation Studio
- Thorough understanding of web technologies including Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), SQL queries, and Automated Marketing Programming Script (AMPScript)
- Knowledge of Agile-based project methodologies and tools (e.g. JIRA)
- Resourceful self-starter with the ability to manage conflicting priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong foundation of marketing best practices, experience, and insights
- Proven experience partnering with both business and technical stakeholders
- Team player, comfortable working with strategic partners, engineers, data scientists, and product managers preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Marketing/Communications, Business, Technology, or a related field
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Certification: Email Specialist, Consultant or Administrator
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.

The salary range for this position is $49.29 - $64.29 per hour.
