We are seeking an innovative and highly motivated Full-Stack Software Engineer on a contract basis to design and develop end-to-end solutions with a focus on data analytics and notifications services. The right candidate will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to be part of an evolving project and reshape strategic operations reporting.
What you’ll do:
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and installing for small to mid-scale systems
- Provide leadership to the squad/work team, delivering a vision for work requirements for the quarter
- Design the scope of sprints within the quarter
- Within the scope of a work assignment, collaborate with the product owner and assist with managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring prompt and complete customer service
- Commit to deliverables with customers and/or management
- Conduct on-call duties as needed for urgent matters
The ideal candidate must have:
- 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining infrastructure in a high volume of customer-facing environment
- 2+ years of experience leading software development efforts in design and execution, as well as team mentorship and stakeholder engagement
- Strong Node.js JavaScript/Typescript backend and functional programming experience
- Strong experience with data modeling, analytics, and tools such as ElasticSearch, SQL of various flavors, and distributed workloads via Kafka
- Experience with backend JavaScript tools such as express.js, koa.js, knexjs
- Experience with frontend web application development, including modern technologies like React and Redux
- Experience writing JavaScript libraries and developing REST APIs (i.e. writing code/services meant to be used by others)
- Experience with AWS, EKS, Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins
- Phenomenal debugging and testing skills
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, automation, software design, and database management
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
- Experience with Agile development process and familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira or similar
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams
Education:
- A Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be Hybrid (Beaverton, OR)
