Job description

We are seeking a 3D Artist Generalist on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. An emphasis on matching lighting and material properties to the photographic reference is central to the role.
What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate directly with researchers to help invent the future of AR/VR
- Rapidly author complete 3D Assets that reach a high level of realism at varying levels of detail
Must-Haves:
- Ability to rapidly author complete 3D Assets that reach a high level of realism at varying levels of detail
- Skills including photogrammetry, working with scanned geometry, retopologizing geometry, modeling, PBR material authoring, texture baking, lighting, and rendering
- Experience producing CG photorealistic environment geometry (such as a building)
- Blender and Unreal Engine experience preferred
- Ability to create detailed environment assets (such as furniture) from scanned photogrammetry geometric reference
- PBR material authoring experience (substance painter/designer)
- Experience in texture authoring and baking
- Experience in setting up lighting to match a photographic reference
- Experience in VFX and Omniverse
- Experience working in Houdini
- Familiarity with GLTF/GLB and USD formats is nice to have
- Color matching renders to photographic color space experience is nice to have
- Houdini experience is nice to have
- Familiarity with 3D scanning and photogrammetry is nice to have
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be onsite at our customer’s Redmond, WA office.
