Job description

Our Customer is a trusted partner with nearly 3 million customer locations. Their services provide comprehensive solutions, data-driven insights, and personalized service to advance food safety, maintain clean and safe environments, operate efficiently, and achieve sustainability goals.

We are seeking a Quality Engineer on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role will be responsible for analyzing requirements, user stories, and design documentation to ensure that they are clearly defined, complete, and testable. The analyst will be responsible for the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify new and existing (regression) software functionality with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will contribute both to the definition and the enforcement of quality assurance processes and procedures based on best practice methodology.

What You’ll Do:

  • Proactively learn and understand the existing platforms and proposed new feature requirements
  • Provide timely feedback during the review
  • Produce well-structured, repeatable feature and regression test scripts for manual and automated testing that support platform quality within the agile framework
  • Maintain test scripts over time
  • Employ best practices to execute and validate product releases against defined feature and regression test scripts
  • Create clearly documented defect reports for anomalies and bugs identified during test execution
  • Develop API scripts to make sure the integration area is covered for Quality of delivery

Must Haves:

  • 4 years of experience working in technology solutions
  • 3 years of experience in software quality assurance testing
  • 2-3 years of experience writing, executing and maintaining manual and automated test scripts (preferred tools – Selenium, C#/Java)
  • Experience performing systems/functional testing on multiple applications
  • Experience in the usage of Azure DevOps experience developing Automated test scripts and hands-on experience in one or more Automation tools
  • Experience in integration testing/API Testing in C# (Preferred tools – PostMan, RESTSharp)
  • Experience working with QA Best Practices in relation to how testing integrates within the Agile
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced work environment while maintaining a high level of quality is preferred
  • Framework and continuous delivery environment are preferred
  • QA experience within Web & API Testing in any cloud-based platform is preferred
  • The ability to work with cross-functional business stakeholders is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills are preferred. Self-starter with high initiative
  • Must be able to seek out information in order to effectively complete assignments are preferred
  • .Net-based Test Automation experience is preferred
  • Mobile App Test Automation is preferred
  • Knowledge of Performance Testing is preferred
  • CI/CD process with Azure DevOps is preferred

Education:

  • B.Tech/BS degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is required

Hours & Location

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
