Job description

We are seeking a Business Operations and Enablement Data Analyst on a contract basis to support our customer's ongoing business needs. We are a collaborative team of data engineers and analysts that work to “Fuel Data Driven Decisions!” Our primary objective is to provide actionable information to our management teams to help them make informed decisions. Our analysis covers operational delivery, financial variance, labor resources, and insights into cloud spend. You will support data analysis in enhancing value, producing quality data, and integrating tools & platforms in support of the company's digital transformation. You will support evangelizing and promoting a culture of accountability and awareness. You love analyzing data for insights and convincing stakeholders to act. And you enjoy solving a wide variety of business use cases and dealing with open-ended tasks. This role is a hybrid setup with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote at our Customer’s Hillsboro, OR location.

What you’ll do:

  • Support in the execution of data collection, maintenance & optimization
  • Partner with Stakeholders to deliver business value
  • Work closely with the Manager to ensure budget, resources, and alignment on work are being met
  • Operate within an agile framework
  • Identify and help remove impediments to the success of the work
  • Identify and communicate potential risks to the completion of the work, including resources, costs, and external dependencies, with proactive escalation as appropriate.
  • Drive cross-capability coordination & scheduling
  • Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers
  • Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences
  • Constructs forecasts, recommendations, and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge
  • Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements
  • May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues
  • May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools

The ideal candidate must have:

  • 2 years of relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of a degree
  • Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Intermediate skills using Tableau, Spotfire, or PowerBI
  • Intermediate skills with SQL
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • Experience with CloudHealth or familiarity with Cloud finance fundamentals (AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proven ability to pull together diverse individuals with different goals and facilitate productive discussion and action
  • Track record of leading others and positive change in data-driven process improvement
  • Past success in creating high-performance teams, inspiring and empowering them to achieve results

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field

Hours & Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is a hybrid setup with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote at our Customer’s Hillsboro, OR location.
