Job description
We're looking for an experienced Account Director (AD) to join our growing team. The AD will own client relationships, lead strategic direction, and ensure delivery excellence across multiple accounts. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, proactive problem-solver, and trusted partner to both clients and internal teams.
Core Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary strategic lead and relationship owner for key client accounts
- Translate client goals into clear strategies, briefs, and actionable plans across paid, organic, and creative channels
- Ensure all deliverables meet expectations for quality, timelines, and budget
- Oversee account profitability, forecasting, and budget management
- Partner closely with internal teams (Paid Media, SEO, Creative, Data) to align strategy and execution
- Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and help drive renewals, upsells, and cross-channel expansion
- Confidently lead client meetings, QBRs, and presentations - ensuring strategy and results are clearly communicated
- Anticipate challenges, manage escalations gracefully, and always maintain a solutions-first mindset
- Contribute to new business development through strategic insights, proposal development, and pitch participation
Qualifications / Skills
- 5+ years of experience in account management, client services, or digital marketing (agency experience required)
- Proven success managing mid-market accounts with six-figure annual budgets
- Exceptional client-facing and internal communication skills - written, verbal, and presentation
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex accounts and competing priorities
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and managing account profitability
- Experience mentoring or managing account teams
- Familiarity with Asana, Everhour, HubSpot, and other modern project/account management tools
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certification is a plus
