Job description

Senior Accountant

Full-time

W2

Remote

At our female-led firm, we operate as a full-stack finance partner for growing businesses — not just an outsourced accounting firm. Our clients rely on us to bring structure, visibility, accountability, and operational finance leadership to their businesses.

We primarily support companies in real estate, construction, trades, property management, hospitality, and other operationally complex industries. Our work goes far beyond bookkeeping. We build financial infrastructure, improve processes, clean up balance sheets, implement systems, support strategic decision-making, and help founders truly understand the financial health of their business.

We’re looking for a highly capable Senior Accountant who can independently manage multiple clients, own the month-end close process, think critically, and communicate professionally with business owners and operators.

This is not an entry-level accounting role. We are looking for someone who understands how accounting connects to operations and can operate with a high level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage accounting and month-end close processes for multiple clients simultaneously
  • Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and identify inconsistencies or operational gaps
  • Maintain accurate financial records and produce clean, reliable financial reporting
  • Analyze financial activity and proactively identify issues, trends, inefficiencies, or process improvements
  • Work directly with founders, operators, property managers, and leadership teams
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and operational reporting
  • Improve workflows, accounting processes, and reporting structures across client engagements
  • Assist with system implementations, integrations, and process optimization initiatives
  • Handle complex accounting scenarios across multi-entity environments
  • Collaborate internally with advisory and leadership teams to deliver a high-touch client experience

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of accounting experience with direct ownership of month-end close
  • Experience managing multiple clients, entities, or business units simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of accrual accounting and balance sheet-focused accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills are extremely important for this role

    • Pivot tables
    • XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH
    • Complex formulas
    • Financial analysis and modeling
    • Ability to organize and work with large datasets efficiently
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems without constant oversight
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving entrepreneurial environments
  • Ability to connect accounting activity to operational impact
  • Experience in real estate, construction, trades, hospitality, or property management industries is strongly preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online required
  • Experience with AppFolio, ServiceTitan, Ramp, or other operational systems is a plus

The Type of Person Who Thrives Here

  • Thinks like an operator, not just an accountant
  • Takes ownership and follows through
  • Can communicate confidently with founders and leadership teams
  • Enjoys solving messy operational and accounting problems
  • Understands that accounting is the foundation for strategic decision-making
  • Wants exposure to high-level finance, systems, and operational strategy
  • Values efficiency, structure, and continuous improvement

Why Us

You’ll work directly with growing businesses and leadership teams where your work has a visible impact. This role offers exposure far beyond traditional accounting — including operational finance, systems strategy, process improvement, cash flow management, and executive-level financial support.

We are building a modern finance firm focused on helping businesses scale with clarity, structure, and strong financial operations.

We also believe heavily in investing in our team. Our firm supports continued learning, advanced skill development, and professional growth through training opportunities and exposure to complex, high-level client environments.

We offer flexible time off (not accrued PTO), 401k match to eligible employees, and remote work. We want people who are curious, driven, and excited to continuously improve both personally and professionally.

If you’re someone who wants to grow beyond transactional accounting and become a true finance and operations partner, we’d love to connect.
