Job description
We are a Cambridge, MA based property Management firm with a portfolio of five rental apartment properties and one commercial property across four states.
We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our team!
Our firm offers a flexible hybrid work schedule. We're looking for this new team member to work approximately 25–35 hours per week, to include two days per week in our office near Central Square in Cambridge.
Full-time or Part-time; Hybrid
Core Responsibilities
- Processing bi-weekly payroll for 30+ employees including subsequent invoice creation.
- Set up new employees in ADP and complete background checks.
- Organize and maintain employee files.
- Quarterly reconciliation of employee benefit time.
- Daily cash monitoring for all properties and related entities including recording of manual payments in general ledger.
- Payable processing for all properties and related entities including vendor maintenance.
- Creation of annual 1099 forms for contractors.
- Filing regulatory reports with HUD and other entities
- Assist with year-end close process and audit.
- Maintain organized electronic files.
- Support other accounting functions and duties, as necessary.
Qualifications/Skills
- 3- 5 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Ability to multi-task, work independently and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Realpage, OneSite or similar property management software a plus
