Accountant / Bookkeeper
Position Summary
The Accountant / Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and managing day-to-day accounting operations for Centurion Tools. This role oversees core accounting functions within QuickBooks, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), reconciliations, and credit card activity. The position works closely with manufacturing, operations, and leadership to ensure financial accuracy, timely reporting, and strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage Centurion Tools’ financials within QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Handle Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing, payment application, and customer account reconciliation
- Support Accounts Payable (AP) activities, ensuring invoices are recorded and paid accurately and on time
- Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Reconcile credit card transactions, ensuring expenses are properly coded and supported by documentation
- Work closely with manufacturing and operations teams to understand costs, transactions, and timing related to production and inventory
- Assist with monthly close activities and basic financial reporting
- Identify discrepancies or inconsistencies and proactively communicate issues for resolution
- Maintain organized financial records to support audits, reviews, and internal analysis
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience using QuickBooks for day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, including AR, AP, and reconciliations
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work cross-functionally with manufacturing and operations teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear, professional communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment
- Experience reconciling high-volume credit card activity
- Prior experience supporting month-end close
