About Us: We are a well-established construction firm known for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Part-Time Construction Accountant & Office Manager. This is a unique opportunity to combine your accounting skills with office management responsibilities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Overview: As the Part-Time Construction Accountant & Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing financial tasks and managing daily office operations. This role requires a strong background in accounting, along with the ability to handle office management duties in a construction industry setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Accounting:

  1. Maintain and track project budgets, costs, and financial records
  2. Manage accounts payable and receivable
  3. Reconcile project accounts and prepare financial reports for management
  4. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  5. Assist with payroll processing and tax reporting
  6. Perform Prequalification requests from General Contractors
  7. Set up and manage OCIP / CICP Projects

Office Management:

  1. Oversee day-to-day office operations and provide administrative support
  2. Maintain filing systems, both physical and digital
  3. Manage office supplies and equipment
  4. Coordinate meetings, schedules, and appointments for team members
  5. Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors as needed
  6. Handle incoming calls, emails, and other office correspondence

Qualifications:

  1. Proven experience in construction accounting or a similar role (2+ years preferred)
  2. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  3. Familiarity with construction industry financial software
  4. Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  7. Prior office management experience is a plus
  8. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Hours: Part-Time (flexible, approximately 20-25 hours per week)

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, based on experience
