We are seeking an Accounting Assistant on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.
We are looking for someone who is energetic and friendly with experience providing accounting and administrative support to clients and internal staff. This can be a fast-paced environment, and deadlines are extremely important. Provides excellent customer service and builds relationships.
Responsibilities:
Accounting:
- Daily processing, uploading, and coding of invoices
- Assist with Accounting deadlines and projects.
- Accounts Receivable-enter cash receipts and enter billing adjustments.
- Accounts Payable-enter invoices, ensure proper supporting documentation for invoices.
- Assist with generating periodic and monthly reporting documents
Accounts Payable & Receivable:
- Daily processing of invoices
- Create vendor numbers
- Run AR reports at least once a week, contact tenants late on payments
- Answering Shared Services questions regarding payments and tenant accounts
Administrative Support:
- Assisting the Accounting Manager and General Manager/Asst. General Manager
- Create vendor contracts
- Provide administrative support to create, modify, or finalize documents as directed
- Any other duties and tasks assigned
- Sitting for long periods of time.
Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required, Associate's Degree or higher preferred
- 1-2+ years of experience in either an Accounting/Bookkeeping/Accounts Payable role
- Knowledge of specific software programs, including Yardi Voyager and Excel.
- Time management – ability to manage time well
- Communication - Able to provide ongoing input to the mall team through thoughtful and detailed information.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, working within a team structure and independently.
- Teamwork - Able to work in a team atmosphere, providing support to other departments as necessary.
- Organization - Ability to maintain an organized workspace/office and have the skills necessary to keep an easily understood filing system.
