POSITION SUMMARY

As a part-time Accounting Associate, you will be integral to our operations, handling essential bookkeeping, payroll, and accounts payable tasks across multiple client accounts. Your role is crucial in ensuring the seamless onboarding and ongoing financial management of our clients. The ideal candidate will have a great attitude about improving processes and strong attention to detail, and be extremely passionate and empathetic to our clients. The ideal candidate should be able to work during normal working hours, but can also work flexible hours as needed.

This role will start at 10 hours/week, with the goal of scaling up to 20 hours/week, on an ongoing basis.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Day to day transaction posting and categorization of financial activity from bank accounts, credit cards, loan transactions, etc.
  • Work with multiple clients each and every day, managing and organizing financial information as needed.
  • Prepare and review accounting records, financial statements, and other vital financial reports.
  • Efficiently manage accounts payable and payroll for multiple client accounts.
  • Accurately post journal entries and finalize monthly financial closings, including recording close videos on Loom that walk our clients through their financials.
  • Perform quality assurance checks at the end of each month, ensuring adherence to standard requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of and implement new processes to boost financial efficiency.
  • Analyze financial data and report findings to the management team.
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates and findings.
  • Undertake additional projects and tasks as needed by clients or management.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE SKILL REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree; CPA or MBA is a plus, but not at all necessary.
  • Quickbooks Online certified proadvisor is a huge plus. If you don’t have that certification, it will be mandatory prior to starting.
  • Must be comfortable and have experience working in Quickbooks Online with multiple clients.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and Cash Accounting principles.
  • Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, and Microsoft Office preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities and the capability to handle multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.

COMPENSATION

  • Competitive hourly rate of $20-$28, depending on experience.
