Job description

*In office Monday-Thursday and remote on Friday*

Seeking a talented Accounting Manager who has a great attention to detail is deadline oriented with the ability to juggle multiple priorities. Ideally seeking a candidate that is hard working and open-minded with a sense of humor and professional integrity. This is a roll up your sleeves opportunity with room for growth. In this position you will be responsible for the day to day Accounting functions.

Responsible for the daily operations of the accounting department including:

  • Monthly and year end accounting close including consolidation
  • Prepare monthly journal entries, bank reconciliations, updates to monthly Balance Sheet schedules and payroll accrual journal entries.
  • Ownership of accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management
  • Monthly Commission processing
  • Cash flow management, planning, budget forecasting and reporting.
  • Maintain special weekly invoicing and maintain collections
  • General ledger analysis and reconciliation
  • Daily cash, AR postings and bank reconciliations
  • Oversee multistate Payroll processing and associated taxes
  • Communication with outside state and local agencies.
  • Work closely with HR on joint initiatives and audits including worker’s comp, unemployment, ACA, 401k and more.
  • Coordinate and complete preparation of data for external auditors
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly reporting analysis for upper management team
  • Implementation of Accounting Initiatives and Projects

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years post-graduation experience with 3-5 years supervisory experience in a corporate accounting role.
  • Super user of Excel including pivot tables and v lookups, QuickBooks Online, Payroll software.
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Experience working in a sales/service results oriented organization preferred but not required
  • Hands on player, willing to roll up your sleeves and get work done.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Able to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while keeping to deadlines.
  • Exceptional communications skills and works well in a team environment
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance
