Job description

Our client is a small Private Equity group out of Atlanta executing a strategy to acquire several tax practices within the Southeast. Their first acquisition is a tax practice located in Houston, TX.


They are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer/Manager to join the practice in Houston.


This ideal candidate will have experience at a small tax practice and should be willing to roll up their sleeves and wear many hats.


Primary duties will include preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses. Other potential duties could include reviewing work done by other team members, providing customer service to existing clients, meeting with potential new clients, assisting with bookkeeping and payroll services as needed, team building with the office staff, and looking for areas of growth.


A CPA certification or EA certification would be a plus, however is not required. If you are interested and planning to work toward your CPA, that is excellent.


***Your tax preparation experience is the most important skill for this role. They are also seeking someone who is interested in taking on more responsibility and a leadership role over time.


Hours are seasonally driven by tax season.
