Job description
*This is a hybrid position, candidates MUST be located in Huntington Beach, CA area in order to be considered.
We need a Quickbooks on-line All Star! Must know accounting principles and have a college degree. Interact with President but report to Operations Vice President
This position is 80% in office to work with 2 other accounting associates. One day a week can be remote. First 60 days will be in office 100% due to training. We have a beach side office in Huntington Beach. Never a bad day here!
*Average of 20 hours/week, could increase slightly as work continues.
Responsibilities:
- QuickBooks Online Expertise:
- Proficient in utilizing QuickBooks Online for accurate and efficient financial record-keeping.
- Ability to navigate and utilize QuickBooks Online features to manage financial transactions and generate reports.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable:
- Manage the Accounts Payable process, including timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliation.
- Handle Accounts Receivable responsibilities, ensuring timely invoicing, receipts, and reconciliation.
- Bill.com Integration:
- Experience with Bill.com for streamlining and automating bill payments, invoicing, and document management.
- Efficiently manage vendor payments and approvals through the Bill.com platform.
- Deduction Management:
- Proactively identify and resolve deductions, discrepancies, or billing issues.
- Implement effective deduction management strategies to minimize financial impact.
- Financial Reporting:
- Generate and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial health.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for management review.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary financial information and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, clients, and team members to ensure smooth financial processes.
- Maintaining Financial Records:
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date maintenance of financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support internal and external audit processes.
- Adaptability:
- Thrive in a small office environment and demonstrate flexibility in handling various accounting and bookkeeping tasks.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential.
- Experience with Bill.com and Deduction Management is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic and small office setting.
