Job description
The Accounting Typist is responsible for performing clerical and typing duties related to accounting records, financial documents and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards. This role is part-time with a 3 day schedule and 24 hours per week.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Write and prepare accounting documents, invoices, and financial statements
· Maintain and update accounting records and files
· Verify accuracy of financial data and correct errors
· Create client surveys and proformas
· Assist with data entry and reconciliation tasks, convert documents to different software formats as needed.
· Update ACT client database
· File and organize financial documents for easy retrieval
· Respond to inquiries regarding accounting information
· Support accounting staff with administrative tasks
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Proficient typing and data entry skills
· Attention to detail
· Basic knowledge of accounting principles
· Organizational skills
· Time management
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, accounting software)
Education and Experience:
· 1-2 years of clerical or accounting-related experience preferred
· Bachelor’s degree required
· Experience with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and accounting software required
