Job description
The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a highly respected private law practice with over 30 years of experience, located in Bergen County, New Jersey! They are looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Administrator to manage legal billing, payables, office bookkeeping, and provide general administrative support in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, curious, and a strong team player with experience in bookkeeping and billing within a legal setting. This role offers flexible scheduling options, with the opportunity to work either 4-6 hour days or 3-8 hour days, depending on the candidate's availability.
Core responsibilities
- Manage legal billing and accounts payable processes
- Handle office and suite bookkeeping, including tracking rent and common charges for subtenants
- Provide general administrative support and fill in as needed in a busy office environment
- Assist with minor HR tasks, such as tracking staff PTO and benefits
Qualifications/Skills
- Experience in bookkeeping and billing, preferably within a legal environment
- Proficiency with legal billing software (LEAP experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Adaptability and willingness to learn quickly
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
