Job description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is 100% remote.


Schedule:

  • Monday: 7 hours, 8:00am to 3:30pm
  • Tuesday: 8 hours, 8:00am to 4:30pm
  • Wednesday: 9 hours, 8:00am to 5:30pm
  • Thursday: 9 hours, 8:00am to 5:30pm
  • Friday: 7 hours, 8:00am to 3:30pm
  • Lunch every day will be 12:00pm – 12:30pm


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure imaging of invoices and supporting documents is accurate.
  • Enter invoice details into the ERP system while ensuring the application is made to the correct purchase order, receiving, and vendor account.
  • Identify and apply different accounting document types correctly.
  • Code and apply proper payment terms to vendor invoice entries.
  • Accurately bill customers for products and services.
  • Resolve discrepancies such as unit of measure differences and perform research as necessary.
  • Review entries to prevent duplication.
  • Provide support during month-end, mid-year, and year-end closing activities.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • Accounts payable experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of accounting concepts through coursework or relevant experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience with inventory cycle counts and/or resolving receiving and shipping discrepancies.
  • Ability to recall information quickly to support decision-making and critical thinking.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adjust to changing job objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access).
  • Experience with Oracle ERP a plus.
