Job description
A partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a contract Accounts Receivable Coordinator to receive and process sales volume reports for the team, and invoices for the same. Integral to collecting current and past-due amounts to ensure timely collection of revenue.
Responsibilities:
- Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers.
- Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures.
- Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in accounting or related financial discipline preferred.
- 2-4 years of financial and/or accounting experience required.
- Well-organized
- Understanding of billing and receiving account fundamentals
- Proficiency in Excel
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
- Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations as related to accounting.
- Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.
Hours and Location:
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
- This role is hybrid (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays onsite) in Warren, MI
