Through our programs, including sports mentorship and community engagement, we provide a safe, supportive environment where young people can grow and thrive. Our volunteers play a crucial role in achieving our mission, and we are seeking an Administrative Coordinator.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented volunteer for the position of Administrative Coordinator to support our nonprofit’s administrative and fundraising efforts. This part-time role involves managing essential tasks that ensure the smooth operation of our organization, including light bookkeeping, event planning, setting up fundraising emails, and completing 990 tax forms. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, proactive, and passionate about supporting a mission-driven organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking expenses, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts. Help coordinate financial inputs for budgeting and grant tracking
- Event Planning: Coordinate logistics for events, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and vendor communication.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance as needed, including managing calendars, organizing files, maintaining volunteer and player records and preparing reports.
- Volunteer Coordination: Assisting in tasks related to volunteer recruitment, onboarding, retention and training. Periodically communicate with volunteers to ensure they feel supported and appropriately utilized.
- 990 Preparation: Assist with the preparation and submission of IRS Form 990 for nonprofit organizations.
- Fundraising Support: Set up and manage fundraising emails and campaigns.
Qualifications:
- Experience in nonprofit administration, bookkeeping, or related fields.
- Familiarity with IRS Form 990 and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms and event management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
