Job description
The Mom Project is excited to partner with a mission-driven tutoring company located in the SF East Bay Area that provides high-quality tutoring services! They are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and passionate about supporting student success.
This company was founded to carry on the legacy of the founder's mother, who ran a beloved tutoring business. They are dedicated to providing personalized, engaging educational support to help students develop confidence and joy in learning. The company hires experienced tutors with advanced degrees to deliver top-notch services.
Core Responsibilities-
Provide administrative support to the Executive Director and leadership team

Manage calendars, schedule meetings and appointments

Coordinate logistics for meetings, events, and travel

Assist with office management tasks and vendor relations

Create reports, presentations and briefs as needed
-
Identify and implement process improvements
-
Assist with HR/payroll, invoicing, and bookkeeping (training provided)

Regularly check in with tutors and clients to ensure smooth operations

Respond to communications in a prompt and professional manner

Bachelor's degree required

2-4 years of administrative assistant experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

Proactive problem-solver able to anticipate needs

Tech-savvy and adaptable to new software and systems

Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Responsive communicator who can be relied upon to follow up quickly

Marketing and social media experience

Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles

Familiarity with HR and payroll processes

Basic web design and content management skills

100% remote position
-
Average of 5 hours per week, workload may vary
