Job description

Our customer is a large United States insurance company that is backed by more than 100 years of experience and provides insurance products and services for businesses and professionals in the United States., Canada and Europe. Headquartered in Chicago, IL, they have more than 20 US locations.


Our customer is seeking a contract Agile Tooling Coach to support their ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote - EST or CST time zones preferred.


Responsibilities:

Individual contributor responsible for helping grow and transform Client’s Agile Tooling landscape. This position acts as a solution architect providing overall technical vision, road mapping of future capabilities, and overall experience of our agile tooling ecosystem. Individual supports the entire Atlassian suite and it’s integrations and provides best practices, enhancements, and supports the entire enterprise of users.


This position empowers teams to adopt Agile ways of thinking and working via Agile tools. The Agile tooling coach uses experience and influence to affect change and create a collaborative culture. This position partners with Agile teams at a tactical level to enhance proficiency in executing Scrum, Kanban and SAFe processes. This position serves as a process champion for agile tooling needs across the enterprise by improving ways of working.


  • Install, configure, maintain, administer, and enhance Jira Core, Jira Software, Confluence, integrations with Jira, and key 3rd party add-ons
  • Help guide and maintain the organization of data in Jira and Confluence
  • Help support and build team and program level metrics
  • Work with enterprise team members to enable custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports that fit into the agile mindset and enterprise reporting values
  • Create and manage complex components including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
  • Advise on best practices configuration and recommendations to avoid common pitfalls and challenges
  • Experience installing and configuring add-ons for Atlassian Products to provide enhanced capabilities
  • Provide user-based training to groups and users on Jira and Confluence usage, administration, and operational user and maintenance of the system
  • Provide support as required as an administrator and to users to ensure the success of an implemented solution
  • Provide onboarding capabilities and training for new users to the Atlassian product suite
  • Development of scaling reports in EazyBI or Tableau
  • Help with other assignments as necessary


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with configuration and administration of Atlassian Products such as Jira Core, Jira Software, Confluence, and key 3rd party add-ons
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of SDLC, SAFe, and Agile Frameworks
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deliverables at any given time through effective time management and planning
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time zones
  • Certification as SM, RTE, SPC is preferred


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
