Job description
Our Customer is the world's leading music company that owns and operates a broad array of businesses engaged in recorded music, music publishing, merchandising, and audiovisual content in more than 60 countries. They identify and develop recording artists and songwriters, and produce, distribute and promote the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful music to delight and entertain fans around the world.
We are seeking a Product Integrity and Social Compliance Analyst on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (2 days on-site and 3 days remote/week) in NYC.
Responsibilities:
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and vendors to address regulatory and compliance issues across product categories.
- Monitor repetitive testing, inspection failures, and vendor performance issues and extract data insights for review.
- Maintain awareness of wholesale account requirements.
- Serve as a consultant to cross-functional teams on product integrity, quality, and compliance matters.
- Create reports for sourcing teams, vendors, and agents to support vendor assessment processes.
- Organize and maintain Product Integrity and Quality Assurance records and documentation.
- Oversee product testing programs related to physical properties, product safety, and government regulations.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained across product categories.
- Onboard and educate vendors on quality, product integrity, and regulatory compliance programs.
- Assist vendors with questions related to inspections, testing, and product compliance.
- Ensure product testing is performed according to care codes, restricted substance lists (RSL), quality standards, and performance expectations.
- Identify quality issues and recommend solutions for failed test results.
- Coordinate with laboratories to ensure testing is completed according to required protocols and reporting standards.
- Stay current on state, federal, and global regulatory requirements.
- Provide regulatory support and guidance to cross-functional partners.
- Review product components, materials, trims, fiber content, care labeling, testing, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Product Integrity, Product Compliance, Product Safety, Product Quality Assurance, or related experience.
- Experience in the fashion, jewelry, consumer products, or similar industries.
- Knowledge of apparel manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with consumer product testing programs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-starter with an approachable communication style.
- Interest in product testing, fabric trends, sustainability, and social compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with international clients or global compliance requirements.
- Experience in reading and interpreting test reports.
- Knowledge of vendor onboarding and compliance education processes.
