Job description

Our customer was founded in 1982 in an effort to create a solid accounting firm headed by native professionals. They later branched out to other services, which is now a multinational professional services network with offices in over 150 countries and territories around the world. With more than 100,000 professionals, they provide audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.

We are seeking an Application Support Specialist - SharePoint on a contract basis to help with our customer's SharePoint migration project.

What You’ll Do: 


  • Responsible for design and development of modern web-based applications, including program design, coding, testing, debugging, and requirements documentation at a mastery level under client architect guidance.

  • Responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, building, deploying, and supporting application software that can work in a dynamic environment for multiple business areas and projects.

  • Ensures application design, development schedule, and implementation meet or exceed documented application scope/timeline while adhering to established standards.

  • Performs technical design and maintains documents technical specifications.

  • Assists application architects in the creation of application, integration, and architecture.

  • Develops /teaches team members these skills.

  • Reviews solutions to ensure they are aligned to architectural specifications and design. Investigates, reports and corrects reported issues.

  • Recommends performance improvements.

  • Analyzes business/ functional requirements and prepares development project schedule, tasks, and estimates.

Must Haves: 


  • Must be experienced with SharePoint post-migration support.

  • Solid experience in and understanding of developing applications.

  • Hands-on experience with designing and developing services and applications.

  • Hands-on experience with designing and developing databases.

  • Experience with monitoring tools.

  • Experience with mastery-level of industry best practices.

  • Has an advanced foundation in designing and developing for non-functional requirements including reliability, availability, and performance, scale, security, and data integrity.

  • Must have listening and facilitation skills.

  • Ability to adjust communications to both technical and non-technical audiences, written and verbal.

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Hours & Location 

  • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is a 100% remote location.
