We are seeking an Application Support Specialist on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
What You’ll Do:
- Design and development of modern web-based applications, including program design, coding, testing, debugging, and requirements documentation at a mastery level under the company Architect's guidance
- Design, code, unit test, build, deploy, and support application software that can work in a dynamic environment for multiple business areas and projects
- Ensures application design, development schedule, and implementation meet or exceed documented application scope/timeline while adhering to established standards
- Perform technical design and maintain the document's technical specifications
- Assist application architects in the creation of applications, integration, and architecture
- Develop /teach team members of these skills
- Review solutions to ensure they are aligned with architectural specifications and design
- Investigate, report, and correct reported issues
- Recommend performance improvements
- Analyze business/ functional requirements and prepares development project schedule, tasks, and estimates
- Design, Development and Implementation of ServiceNow customization including, but not limited to core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, custom scripting, and third-party software integrations
- Perform advanced customizations including Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables, reports, etc.
- Perform workflow design, configuration, development and data loads for ServiceNow platform, (ServiceNow) applications
- Responsible for programming workflow, enhancements and integrations with ServiceNow platform applications
- Maintain pace with ServiceNow's current versions and capabilities
- Perform upgrades and customizations of ServiceNow platform applications based on guidance from project managers, architects, ITIL practice leads and customers
- Maintain and adhere to source code, configuration management, release management and software development best practices
- Develop training materials and provide end-user or IT technician training on using the ServiceNow functionality
- Provide in-person support daily to customers and team, this will include direct interaction with the Executive staff and other key management
- Maintain ServiceNow training and knowledge through self-learning, attending conferences and training
- Responsible for the proactive problem and risk management triage and fixing defects found in the ServiceNow platform, applications, and workflows
- Provide support/guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes
- Review and evaluate 3rd party and integration solution architecture based on established enterprise application strategy
- Define and validate non-functional (technical) requirements and establish traceability between requirements and application architecture/design
Must-haves:
- Solid Experience in developing application-ServiceNow
- Good Understanding of the technology
- Hands-on with Designing and Developing services and applications
- Hands-on with Designing and Developing Databases
- Experience with applications is expected
- Experience with monitoring tools
- An advanced foundation in designing and developing for non-functional requirements including reliability, availability, and performance, scale, security, and data integrity
- Experience with the mastery level of industry best practices
- Good knowledge of the business flow of the following modules:
- Information Technology Service Management (Incident/ Problem/ Change/ Request/ Configuration)
- Information Technology Business Management (Financial Management, PPM (Project Portfolio Management), Resource Management), Application Performance Management
- Discovery – On-Premise and Off-Premise
- ITAM – IT Asset Management ITOM - IT Operations Management
- GRC – Governance Risk & Compliance
- ServiceNow Portal
- Integration and ServiceNow Scripting (Glide, (JavaScript, Angular JS, Ajax, XML, JSON etc. HTML and CSS))
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is 100% remote.
