Job description
We are eager to find an experienced bookkeeper to help us grow!
- 1099 Contractor - long term engagement
- $25-$40/hr, pay commensurate with experience
- Average Hours: 16-24hrs per week
The role requires recording daily financial transactions and performing monthly reconciliations and reporting. The job also requires administering PTO software, healthcare plan renewals, workman’s comp insurance audits and other admin functions and special projects.
We are looking for a detailed, analytic, insightful and quantitative minded person to bring their acumen to our small business. You will work with many members of our team and directly with our founder to help make strategic decisions.
The ideal candidate should have more than 5 years experience in bookkeeping, preferably with QB desktop.
Experience with inventory, consignments, 1099s, Hubspot and Shopify a plus.
Hours can be flexible but 16-24 hours/week are required with approx. 8 regular hours/ week in the Bucktown gallery (Tuesday-Friday preferred).
We are a Chicago gallery of contemporary art, antiques and curiosities founded in 1997. We work closely with an international clientele of interior designers, collectors and lovers of the rare and unusual. Our collection is curated in a vast early 20th c. bow truss gallery and open storage space in Bucktown.
