Job description


Our Customer is an American worldwide clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are available in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.

We are seeking a Asset Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote in San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • DAM System: Administer Global asset management system
  • Photo Shoots: Create photography guidelines/digital tech support/Back-up all shoots
  • Retouching: Manage all retouching requests & Process/Manage Vendors + budgets
  • Responsible for DAM image file organization and loading all assets in the DAM.
  • Maintain creative asset workflow procedures and publish updates across internal and external cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and manage new process changes to support workflow optimization with our Digital Asset Management tools.
  • Review and provide access rights and permissions within the Digital Asset Management system for all users.
  • Provide weekly updates to all levels of users of DAM system with new uploads and basic statistics of use.
  • Acquire, name, add keywords/metadata and appropriately archive photography on DAM.
  • Follows internal controls and retention policies as set by company and job function.
  • Responsible for training internal cross-functional users with new naming conventions, process, workflows and using the DAM system.
  • Work closely with Photo-shoot and retouching teams with file management to maintain consistency from time of capture to final file upload to DAM and other systems in use.
  • Maintain and update Digital Tech Guidelines, communicate with DTs prior to each shoot, arrange hard drive returns from shoots
  • Create & maintain retouching review calendar for all required business partners involved (art directors, styling, creative design team, marketing, agency, project managers etc.)
  • Traffic image assets for print and digital creative assets to meet all stakeholders (Marketing, Creative, Print Production) expectations/deadlines.
  • Maintain direct contact with Art Directors/Creative team and retouching partners to effectively communicate selects/retouching direction/feedback/revisions/updates/approvals throughout entire retouching project life cycle
  • Cross-check that all prior rounds of review mark-ups/feedback have been applied & that all required parties have signed off on final approvals before final files are posted
  • Manage the budget, open POs, and reconcile vendor invoices for retouching process.
  • Manage Ad Hoc Project Intake Form process, internal retouching team’s bandwidth, foresee & address capacity limits.
Must-haves:
  • 3 – 5 years in project and DAM management.
  • Retouching process knowledge creative production background preferred.
  • Experience working with retouching vendors and creative teams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot image files prior to releasing to vendor.
  • Vendor management: quality control/price negotiations.
  • Ability to work within a team environment
  • Strong decision making, troubleshooting, negotiating, influencing and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Airtable a plus
