Job description

Our customer is a leading global media and entertainment company that creates and distributes a large portfolio of content and brands across television, film, and streaming and is available in over 200 countries and territories and over 45 languages. Headquartered in New York, NY with more than 30 office locations in the United States.

Our Customer is seeking an Content Editor on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is a hybrid setup in NYC.

The main function of this role is to research, proofread, and publish both traditional and digital media.

This food-obsessed assistant editor will report to the VP, Social and Convergence and work across the social convergence team. He or she will have a hands-on role on the team working on both flat and video projects to drive linear network ratings. A daily workflow would consist of writing social copy, creating memes and highlight reels to support priority shows, and screening episode footage to suggest video creations. This person should be able to manage several projects and timelines at once, and be comfortable working across multiple teams as the role intersects editorial, video, social, programming and talent relations. He or she will have a direct hand in supporting a primetime TV series through daily publishing of social-first promotional content across their social platforms.



Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1-3 years of experience in content creation
  • Social Savvy, know the social platforms in and out
  • Experience in entertainment is good
  • Detail oriented
