We are seeking an Assistant Facility Manager on a contract basis to help support their ongoing business needs. This role is on-site in Athens, TX (with occasional travel to Red Oak and other sites).


The Assistant Facility Manager will support and monitor the operations of multiple facility sites, ensuring tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with performance standards. This role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams. The role supports a small team of multi-skilled operatives and assists in financial, operational, and vendor management across approximately five facilities.


Work Schedule:

7:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central

Flexibility required; occasional on-call support as needed



Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support, oversight, and coordination for a small team of multi-skilled operatives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with client stakeholders, landlords, managing agents, and facility vendors.
  • Assist in managing contractors and ensuring they meet required performance standards.
  • Support procurement of vendors and services as needed.
  • Assist with financial processes, including purchase orders, monthly accruals, and finance tracker updates.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, assessments, safety checks, and audits across assigned facilities.
  • Assist in implementing property risk management programs and best-practice facility operations.
  • Maintain all premises in clean, organized, and fully functional condition.
  • Support disaster recovery and business continuity procedures.
  • Follow escalation and incident reporting procedures accurately.
  • Provide support for management reports, operational projects, and ongoing initiatives.
  • Ensure achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) goals.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in facilities support or facilities management.
  • Experience supporting multiple facility sites preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Basic financial experience, including expense tracking and purchase order management.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; able to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure with flexibility and professionalism.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Organized, dependable, and proactive.
  • Strong communicator with clarity across all levels.
  • Calm under pressure with a problem-solving mindset.
