We are seeking an Associate Director, Portfolio Management, on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (4 days on-site and 1 day remote/week) in Dallas, TX.

This role supports the lead Portfolio Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of various Multi-Fund Strategies within a global real estate investment platform.

These Multi-Fund Strategies are proprietary fund-of-funds structures that invest in underlying real estate funds and are designed to expand access to new global distribution channels. As a high-growth segment of the business, these strategies maintain significant visibility with senior leadership.

This role plays a key part in supporting portfolio operations, coordination, reporting, and strategic initiatives tied to the continued expansion of the Multi-Fund platform.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of fund management and operations across multi-fund and hybrid real estate investment products
  • Maintain responsibility for fund databases and financial models used for portfolio analysis, client reporting, and marketing communications
  • Coordinate and manage reporting processes for multiple funds, including collaboration with global fund teams
  • Prepare quarterly reports, marketing presentations, and internal materials
  • Drive fund-level forecasting, portfolio optimization, and performance attribution analysis
  • Support management of fund liquidity, capital allocations, and investor queues
  • Lead or contribute to ad hoc initiatives, including fund launches, distributor onboarding, RFPs, DDQs, and investor or consultant requests
  • Develop working knowledge of fund objectives, investment guidelines, and positioning to assess transaction impacts
  • Manage fund operations and execute transactions when the lead portfolio manager is unavailable
  • Participate in the development and execution of investment plans, steering committee materials, and senior management presentations
  • Conduct investor update presentations and client marketing meetings independently as expertise develops
  • Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree required; Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of experience in a real estate investment environment
  • Strong understanding of real estate investment concepts and accounting principles
  • Knowledge of fund management and global investment structures preferred
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new financial systems and software tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in team-oriented environments
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency
