Job description
Our Customer is a mission-driven not-for-profit organization that connects students to college success and opportunity. Founded in 1900, they were created to expand access to higher education. Today, the membership association is made up of over 6,000 of the world’s leading educational institutions and is dedicated to promoting excellence and equity in education. Each year, our Customer helps more than seven million students prepare for a successful transition to college through programs and services in college readiness and college success—including the SAT, the Advanced Placement Program, and BigFuture. The organization also serves the education community through research and advocacy on behalf of students, educators, and schools.
We are seeking an Associate Director, Strategic Impact Partnerships, External Engagement & Infrastructure on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute national conferences, association engagements, and external events to generate qualified leads and strategic partnerships
- Align engagement strategies with regional priorities, including target districts and growth accounts
- Design and implement initiatives that convert external engagement into a measurable pipeline and influence
- Partner with regional teams to ensure effective handoff, follow-up, and activation of opportunities
- Represent the organization in educator-, district-, and student-facing environments
- Evaluate engagement effectiveness by analyzing pipeline contribution, adoption, and retention metrics
- Manage engagement budgets, procurement processes, invoicing, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with operations and regional teams to implement AI-enabled workflows for lead intake, routing, and reporting
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to connect engagement activities with pipeline and growth outcomes
- Deliver actionable insights to leadership to support planning and risk mitigation
- Ensure compliance with student- and educator-facing requirements, including documentation and media releases
- Build and manage systems for lead tracking, stakeholder development, and retention monitoring
- Lead or support special projects aligned with organizational and regional priorities
Skills/Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in project management, event execution, external engagement, or sales enablement
- Experience translating engagement activities into measurable outcomes such as lead generation, conversion, and pipeline growth
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage stakeholders in high-visibility environments
- Experience working in education, nonprofit, or related sectors
- Ability to operate independently in fast-paced and dynamic environments
- Experience using AI and automation tools to improve efficiency and scale impact
- Experience with systems such as Salesforce, SharePoint, CVENT, or similar platforms
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale events or national engagement programs
- Familiarity with pipeline development, lead tracking, and sales enablement strategies
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
