We are seeking an Audience Development Associate Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (2 days on-site and 3 days remote/week) in Hollywood, CA.

This role will ideate, build, and manage effective omni-channel campaigns for Def Jam & Island's artists and their music fans. You will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and great at prioritizing what needs to get done now, while managing long-term strategic initiatives. Focusing on connecting music fans with the right message, at the right time, you will turn insights into a strategic position that will achieve both artist and label business goals.

You are a data-driven CRM marketing expert with a passion for customer engagement and lifecycle marketing. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong understanding of email and SMS marketing best practices, user journeys, and performance optimization. You are highly analytical and strategic, yet creative in your approach to personalization and audience segmentation. With an eye for detail and a proactive mindset, you enjoy collaborating cross-functionally and leveraging insights to drive measurable results.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and execute email campaigns using CRM platforms, primarily through drag-and-drop tools with occasional HTML support
  • Manage the email marketing calendar and ensure timely delivery of campaigns
  • Support SMS campaign execution as needed using platforms such as SlickText, Attentive, or Community
  • Edit and prepare creative assets using Photoshop to ensure campaigns are visually accurate and on-brand
  • Maintain high accuracy across all campaigns, ensuring no errors in content, links, or audience targeting
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including label and marketing teams, to align on campaign goals and execution
  • Attend key in-office meetings (particularly Tuesdays and Thursdays) and collaborate closely with the team
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across different levels of the organization

Skills/Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in email marketing or CRM-focused roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with email campaign builds (CRM-heavy experience required)
  • Experience with email platforms such as Dotdigital is a strong plus
  • Basic HTML knowledge is a plus
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop (required)
  • Experience with SMS platforms such as SlickText, Attentive, or Community preferred
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on error-free execution
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
  • Experience in the music industry preferred

Additional Requirements

  • Comfortable working in a hybrid/in-office environment with required in-office collaboration days
  • Strong team collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Experience in high-performance or fast-paced corporate environments is a plus
