Job description

Our Customer is a technology company that connects people with the best of their neighborhoods across the US, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Germany. They enable local businesses to meet consumers’ needs of ease and convenience, and, in turn, generate new ways for people to earn, work, and live. By building the last-mile logistics infrastructure for local commerce, they’re fulfilling their mission to grow and empower local economies.

We are seeking an Associate Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is remote (near a marketing hub) in any of the following locations: New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Los Angeles, CA; Sunnyvale, CA; Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; Boston, MA; Washington D.C.

As an Associate Manager, you will focus on the go-to-market strategy and scaling of key product initiatives—particularly around affordability—and drive integrated marketing strategies across multiple channels.

This role blends product marketing with growth marketing initiatives, requiring strong cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and a bias for action.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the voice of the customer, deeply understanding their needs and pain points.
  • Develop marketing strategy for affordability-focused programs, including goals, category focus, and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Strategy, Product, Creative, Retention, Analytics) to execute go-to-market plans across paid, owned, earned, and in-app channels.
  • Build and deliver updates on marketing initiatives and campaigns for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Track and report performance metrics across functions, surfacing insights and recommendations.
  • Stay current on marketing best practices, cultural trends, and the competitive landscape.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years of professional marketing experience in corporate or startup environments.
  • Fluency across the marketing mix, with strong understanding of funnel strategy.
  • Proven ability to connect with people, build relationships, and influence without authority.
  • Strong strategic and analytical mindset with audience-first insights.
  • Creative, collaborative, and proactive problem solver.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive measurable business results through marketing.

We offer a competitive salary range for this position. Most candidates who join our team are hired at the median of this range, ensuring fair and equitable compensation based on experience and qualifications.

Contractor benefits are available through our 3rd Party Employer of Record (Available upon completion of waiting period for eligible engagements)
