Freelance Litigation Attorney (Real Estate Investment Firm)
Hourly Rate: $125/hour
Experience Level: Mid to Senior Level
Expected Monthly Hours: Varies, 10–40 hours/month
Location: Remote, with strong preference for candidates admitted to the Wisconsin Bar
About the Role:
A small real estate investment firm is seeking a freelance litigation attorney to support ongoing complex civil litigation matters involving commercial real estate, predatory lending, and commercial banking disputes. This is a high-impact, flexible opportunity for a skilled attorney with a strong litigation background to manage and execute key legal responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
● Draft pleadings, motions, complaints, and manage pre-trial preparation ● Conduct and respond to discovery
● Perform legal research and analysis on complex civil matters
● Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with the internal team
● Represent the firm in interactions with opposing counsel
● Review case documents and provide detailed guidance
Ideal Candidate:
● 5+ years of litigation experience, ideally in civil, commercial, or real estate-related matters
● Licensed to practice in Wisconsin (strongly preferred), though strong candidates in other jurisdictions may be considered
● Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of case components ● Experienced in both Federal and State Court litigation
● Detail-oriented, responsive, and strategic in approach
