Job description

Our customer is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. They help researchers make new discoveries, doctors and nurses improve the lives of patients, and lawyers develop winning strategies. They prevent online fraud and money laundering and help insurance companies evaluate and predict risk. Their events combine in-person and digital experiences to help customers learn about markets, source products and complete transactions. In short, they enable customers to make better decisions, get better results and be more productive.



We are seeking a contract Attorney Editor to review and update practical guidance and templates for an online legal product for attorneys, and create new content, as needed. This is a contract position involving flexible hours (assignments can be completed as your schedule permits, as long as the deadline is met). This role is 100% remote in the state of Florida.


Part-time, 5-15 hours/week


Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and revise practical guidance templates on family law documents. Review and update affidavits, agreements, and other related family law documents.
  • Supplement existing documents with state-specific, “how-to” practical guidance based on state law, local custom, and legal practice experience.


Qualifications:

  • Law degree from an accredited law school
  • Member, in good standing, of the Florida State Bar
  • 5+ years of experience as a practicing family law attorney
  • Substantive experience drafting affidavits, agreements, and other related family law documents.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and legal research skills
  • Comfortable working in Microsoft Word with track changes and conducting online research
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines
  • Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively
