Job description
Our customer is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. We are seeking an Attorney Editor on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This position will require reviewing and updating practical guidance and templates from an online legal product for attorneys, and creating new content, as needed. This is a contract position involving flexible hours (assignments can be completed as your schedule permits, as long as the deadline is met). This role is 100% remote in New Jersey.
What You'll Do:
- Draft, review, and revise practical guidance templates on family law documents
- Review and update affidavits, agreements, and other related family law documents.
- Supplement existing documents with state-specific, “how-to” practical guidance based on state law, local custom, and legal practice experience
- A Law degree from an accredited law school
- Member, in good standing, of the New Jersey State Bar
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing family law attorney
- Substantive experience drafting affidavits, agreements, and other related family law documents.
- Excellent writing, editing, and legal research skills
- Comfortable working in Microsoft Word with track changes and conducting online research
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to complete assigned projects by prescribed deadlines
- Organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks effectively
