Job description
Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.
We are seeking an AVP Programmatic Manager on a contract basis to support our customer’s ongoing business needs. This role is 100% remote.
This role will lead efforts in driving successful digital campaigns, supporting business partners across the company's enterprise. This role will be responsible for executing and optimizing efficient paid campaigns within the Real-Time Bidding (RTB) landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Lead programmatic display and video campaign planning, development, execution, optimization, and forecasting.
- Partner with strategy and business teams on campaign planning, providing tactical recommendations based on performance insights.
- Collaborate with other channel leads (SEM, social, SEO, etc.) to ensure cross-channel integration and a holistic advertising strategy.
- Present programmatic capabilities, case studies, and learnings to client teams and internal stakeholders.
- Oversee campaign optimizations, brand safety, reporting, and budget management.
- Identify opportunities for automation and consolidation, leveraging internal and external tools to improve efficiencies.
- Manage external partner relationships and evaluate new programmatic opportunities and partners for testing.
- Work with analytics, media operations, strategy, and cross-channel teams on measurement, tagging, and reporting.
- Provide training and support to Programmatic Analysts to promote growth and success.
- Support special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma/GED with 4+ years of marketing experience.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience managing programmatic campaigns, actively working with DSP buying tools at an agency or brand.
- Experience executing campaigns within Google Marketing Platform (CM, DV360, Google Ads) and at least two additional DSPs (e.g., TheTradeDesk, Verizon, Amazon).
- 3+ years of agency experience developing and executing plans in fast-paced environments with consistent on-time delivery.
- 1+ years of experience training and supporting junior team members.
- 2+ years of experience negotiating media placements and added value with publishers and partners.
Preferred:
- Experience with both B2C and B2B campaigns; financial industry experience a plus.
- Familiarity with Prisma or similar digital advertising management platforms.
- Advanced knowledge of display advertising and the programmatic landscape, including RTB, ad networks, DSPs, native media, video, brand safety, and related technologies.
- Strong technical understanding of programmatic campaign builds (bidding structure, tagging, trafficking, deal creation, audience management).
- Excellent collaboration and team-building skills, with flexibility to adapt to evolving strategies, regulations, and market conditions.
- Subject matter expertise in programmatic advertising, with knowledge of personalization, dynamic creative optimization (DCO), and digital analytics.
- Creative, resourceful, and proactive problem-solver with a track record of generating new ideas.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage competing demands and prioritize effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; strong business writing skills.
- Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Strong numerical detail orientation and analytical thinking skills.
